I’ve created a blog with a friend and have verified the site through Google Search Console. I still don’t see any post or the homepage of my blog when searching for it through Google. Even if I search the entire title. Is there a step I possibly missed or is it lack of content and views?
OK, so you submitted your sitemap? What do you see in Google Search Console? Has Google discovered your pages? Crawled your pages? Indexed? That’s going to give you some hints on where things are hung up and what to do next.
Google can take weeks to crawl your site, so if you did all of this yesterday, nothing is wrong but time, perhaps. 
In addition they have to view the content as valuable to add. Just because you post something, especially since HCU days, doesn’t mean you will just rank for it. The more distribution you can get the better, the more you send to it yourself the better, the more reasons to show Google the people already value it the better.
